Week of Dec. 4th- 8th
This week we are using all of the skills that we learned last week to add and subtract fractions and mixed numbers. Any skills that the students struggled with on their quiz will need to be reviewed to make sure that he/she is successful this week!
Mon- Thurs: Complete column for each day. We will check in class the next day. Whole sheet will be turned in on Friday for a grade. Study for quiz Friday on adding and subtracting fractions and mixed numbers.

Week of Nov. 27th- Dec. 1st
This week we will review simplifying fractions, finding the least common multiples, and converting mixed numbers to improper fractions (and vice versa). These skills will lead to adding and subtracting fractions and mixed numbers next week.

These first two weeks of the second marking period we will begin our unit on fractions. We will begin with comparing and ordering fraction and decimal numbers. We will also discuss equivalent fractions and how to simplify fractions.

This week we will be reviewing for the Critical Skills Assessment. Topics include Prime and Composite Numbers, Order of Operations, Distributive Property, and Decimals.
There will be no written homework this week. Please study! Math CSA is Thursday.

Week of oct. 23rd- 27th
This week we are beginning multiplying and dividing decimals. Students are now expected to also be able to model multiplication and division of decimals, so you may see examples with hundreds grids or blocks.
Monday- Thursday: Week 6 Math Homework is due Tuesday-Friday of this week. We will go over the answers each day in class, so it should be completed nightly and turned in for a completion grade on Friday.
